About the Project

Buddha Biscuits is a start up company that is run by a local Chicago chef, Adriana Marzullo of Zullo’s Catering. Adriana started making organic dog treats to give out at her tent at the Farmer’s Market every weekend during the spring and summer. She took notice that dogs loved them and their owners loved that they were healthy even more. 

She is slowly starting to develop Buddha Biscuits into it’s own company separate from her catering company. Her goal with the branding was to make the logo and packaging vibrant, cute and eye catching with mostly secondary hues. The logo sticks true to the name with a figure of a buddha appearing in the face of the dog. 

As this project is still in the works, I have recently finalized the packaging for the three flavors that are currently being made. The goal with the packaging was to have it easily recognizable when it is on display and have as little writing as possible with still being informative.

Buddha Biscuits is currently being sold in a couple of Bentley’s Pet Stuff stores in the Chicagoland area with intentions of expanding to other stores as well as being available to e-commerce customers.
