The Inspiration

Skills used were Photography and Digital Drawing in Procreate

Coffee has always been an inspiration to my artwork. For the few years that I was a barista, I never got the hang of pouring those perfect heart shaped lattes no matter how many times I tried. 

Fast forward to a few years later, when I started to dabble in digital drawing. I started making my coffee a certain way, and I noticed that the creme of the coffee with the frothed milk (and sometimes the morning sun) would make some pretty cool shapes. So, I began taking overhead shots on my iPhone and drawing over the photograph in Procreate to create a scene in the cup of coffee based off of how I interpreted the shapes.
